I truly value each and every client I work with, and I do my best to provide a personalized experience and dedicate my full attention to every session. In order to respect both my time and the time of others, I’ve implemented a cancellation policy that helps ensure a smooth and fair scheduling process for everyone.
Like many small business owners, I’ve encountered a number of last-minute cancellations and no-shows, which can be challenging — not just for me, but also for clients who may be waiting for an open spot. Enforcing this policy allows me to stay organized, honor committed bookings, and continue offering the best possible service to all of my clients.
Thank you so much for your understanding and support. I truly appreciate it, and I look forward to working with you soon!
1. Retainer Fee
A retainer fee equal to 25% of the total session fee is required to secure the booking. The session is not confirmed until the retainer has been paid. The retainer guarantees the Client’s appointment time and is applied toward the total session cost.
2. Cancellation and Rebooking Policy
- Cancellations Made More Than 7 Days Prior to Session:
The retainer may be transferred to a new session date if rebooked within 30 days of the original session, or the client can opt for a refund of retainer fee.
- Cancellations Made Between 7 Days and 24 Hours Prior to Session:
The retainer is no longer refundable but may be transferred to a rescheduled session if rebooked within 30 days of the cancellation.
- Cancellations Made Less Than 24 Hours Prior to the Session:
The retainer is forfeited. A new retainer fee must be paid in order to book a future session.
- No-Shows (Including Cancellations Made Within 2 Hours of the Session):
The retainer is forfeited in full. No rescheduling will be offered, and a new session will not be booked.
3. Photographer Cancellations
While every effort is made to honor scheduled sessions, there may be rare occasions when the Photographer must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the Client will be promptly notified and offered the opportunity to reschedule. The original retainer will be fully transferred to the new session date or the client can opt for a full refund of retainer.
In the case of inclement weather — including heavy rain, high winds, extreme temperatures, or any conditions deemed unsafe or unsuitable for a successful session — the Photographer may choose to reschedule. Weather-related reschedules will be arranged within 30 days of the originally booked session date, and the retainer will be applied to the new appointment.
