Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a session with you?
To book, simply fill out my contact form. Once we confirm your date and details, a retainer is required to officially reserve your session or elopement.
What’s included?
Each session includes planning guidance, location suggestions, shooting time, and a fully edited digital gallery.

Do I get to choose my own photos?
Yes! In the days following our session, I will send you an unedited preliminary album where you can pick your favorite photos. Every session has a set number of photos included with the option to purchase addition photos for $10 each. Full galleries are also available for a discounted price upon request. Pricing for full galleries is dependent on number of photos.

How long does it take to receive my photos?
You will receive a preliminary album a few days after your session. Your completed gallery will be delivered within 2–4 weeks after you have selected your favorites, unless otherwise communicated.
What if I don't know how to pose?
That’s completely okay! It's my job to guide you naturally throughout the session so everything feels relaxed, comfortable, and real.

How many people can be included in a session?
This depends on session type;
Elopements: Up to 20 participants
Family: 6 - more than 6 would be considered an extended family session
Newborn: 6 ^same rules apply
Maternity: 6 ^same rules apply
What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
If weather conditions aren’t ideal or safe, we’ll work together to reschedule or adjust timing/location when possible. If rescheduling is not an option, a full refund for the deposit is allowed.

How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking as early as possible, especially for elopements and peak travel seasons, as availability can fill quickly.
Do you travel between islands?
Yes, travel may be available depending on the project. Travel fees may apply depending on location.

Can I get raw (unedited) photos?
No, I only deliver fully edited images to ensure quality and consistency with my style.

In case you want to know more about me :)

Hi there! I'm Allison, the owner and only employee of Affinity Photography

I’m a Navy wife and a mom of two boys, so there’s a good chance you might see my whole little crew if you book a session with me. My favorite part of this job is getting to explore beautiful, scenic places while meeting incredible people and families along the way. I genuinely love working with kids of all ages, but I also really enjoy couples and anyone who’s up for a little adventure during their session.
If you’re willing to jump in the water, hike to a stunning viewpoint, or throw your partner over your shoulder for a fun shot—I’m absolutely your photographer. I’m very laid-back when I shoot and always aim to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I’m actually pretty camera-shy myself, so I try to guide people in a way I wish I had been guided.
Outside of photography, I try to give back to the communities I’m part of whenever I can. Every June, I offer a Pride Month special for LGBTQ+ couples, and I’m also happy to provide a locals’ discount to Native Hawaiians as a small way of saying thank you for the kindness and culture shared here.
At the heart of it all, my goal is simple: to create a relaxed experience where you feel like yourself, and to capture images that feel honest, joyful, and meaningful for you and your story.
